Plating: the interlacing of strands: Braiding

Working with locally harvested and hand processed blackash splint, join up for an afternoon of learning, sharing, and stories as we weave baskets measuring approx. 9" x 5" x 7" to take home.

All tools and materials will be provided

This course will be held at FriedliArts Studio in St Paul.  It is limited to 8 people in order to offer more interaction with peers and instructor. All students are required to wear a mask, and regularly sanitize hands.  What is Fireweed's Covid policy?  FAQ here

Students will pre-pay for materials- although if you'd like to make more than one, the cost difference can be paid the day of class to April.

Now offering sliding scale pricing! We know the pandemic has affected people in different ways and want to keep woodworking accessible. Suggested admission is $105,  but we now have a $90 admission option and a $125 pay it forward option.

This course has 2 free seats for the BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) community to take this course at cost for the materials fee of $30. Fireweed  believes in wealth re-distribution while our nation has still not offered proper reparations to marginalized communities.  The course registration  will be waived for individuals who identify as BIPOC.
