In this beginner friendly class students will learn to make a traditional turkey wing whisk broom using broomcorn, twine, and simple hand tools. You will learn how to shape, tie, and weave natural materials into a functional, handcrafted broom with a woven plaited handle. This class is rooted in traditional broom-making techniques. Each student will leave with a finished whisk broom and a working understanding of the foundational skills used in Broom making. Basic hand and body strength needed.

The materials fee is $12 and is included in the admission cost.
