Let go of the outcome and tune in to your body! In this skills-building course we'll go in-depth on pull saw techniques, and use chisels and planes to clean tenons for joint fitting. During this class we'll also improve body awareness to tap into a greater sense of joy, control, and focus while using these hand tools. The class will start with some silly and challenging coordination and observation exercises, followed by a discussion on techniques for pull saws, chisels, and planes, and then spend the majority of time immersed in the process of cutting and cleaning a tenon to fit into a mortice. Whether you're at the start of your woodworking journey, or already in love with hand-cut joinery, this class will provide a relaxing space to improve your skills!
The materials fee is $10 and is included in the admission cost.
